The Relationship between Children’s Trait Emotional Intelligence and the Big Five, Big Two and Big One Personality Traits

The irrefutable repercussions of personality and socio-emotional development on children’s learning psychological well-being justify the relevance for educational context delving into relationship between those two constructs. Therefore, research presented in this article investigates link trait EI B5, B2, B1 (or GFP) traits children 9 13 years age. We used Spanish adaptation BFQ-NA (Big Five Personality Questionnaire Children Adolescents) CDE_9-13 (Emotional Development primary education) with a sample 259 school students. results showed correlations Big factors (B2) One factor (B1) EI. However, emotional intelligence model (B5) was not very high; only five significantly predicted Thus, our differ from studies conducted adults, but instead, it is similar to children. Finally, study reinforces thesis that can be considered synonym GFP (General Factor Personality). Consequently, implies designing implementing socioemotional programs during promote adaptability social efficacy.
